This is a beautiful

VICTORIAN ANTIQUE

NEEDLE CASE

In my estimation it dates from around the mid 19th Century, circa 1850-1870, but please make up your own mind about this.

Theneedle case is made from silk andcard with a git metal clasp.

It measures approx2 3/8inches (60mm) long, and unfolds like a fan, to reveal four colour printed card cases, marked

for different sized needles.

It is in good original condition with very light wear consistent with its great age, but no damage or repairs(other than the slight fraying of the silk on the back by the pivot,see photos).

This is a fine example of its type and it would make a great addition to any collection.
