Up for sale with is a Rare Frederick Elkington English Sterling Silver Cream Jug or Milk Pitcher. The Pitcher is of the finest quality I have seen with amazing and bold period designs throughout. The Pitcher is hallmarked for London Sterling Silver the year 1872, and has the makers mark "FE" for the the Important Period Silversmith Frederick Elkington of Elkington & Co. The Pitcher would make a lovely serving piece for anything from Cream, Milk or Maple Syrup to Sauces and would also make a lovely little Vase measuring 5" tall by 4-1/2" long across the handle. The Pitcher is also very, very thick Sterling Silver throughout with a quality weight of 295 grams. The Bowl is in excellent condition overall with some tiny dint marks to the body but no large dents, cracks, holes or repairs and I am must say is much nicer than my photos show. I am sure the new owner will be most impressed.
