Signed \'in the block\' with a Hankyo.
The style is typical of the 1920s and 30s
Art Deco Japanese print movement
(and of artists like Seiho Takeuchi and Yuki Somei)

Single-sided sheet that has never been framed.
It is hard to be completely certain about the printing process;
whilst these appear to be woodcuts, other methods were
being employed at this time, i.e. lithography (but there is no pixellation).
This characteristic \'painterly\' quality is often achieved without the use of a keyblock outline.

(Paper ageing commensurate with being 90 years of age, trimmed)
