From Atlanta, Georgia estate! Antique needlepoint tapestry salvaged from an antique games table top. The previous owner had the tapestry custom framed (not a shadowbox) and added a vintage, Lowe Checkerboardand checker piecesattached to the center of the tapestry. The tapestry is STUNNING and features a foxhound and fox hunt scene.Two of the 4 corners feature a large, needlepoint, fox hunt and equestrianthemed medallion. One is of a bugle, the other is of horseshoes. The opposite cornersfeature needlepoint playing cards with a poker theme. This is an INCREDIBLE needlepoint with exceptional detail and beauty. The checker game pieces are primarily fixed to the vintage checkerboard. Some of them are fixed to the needlepointitself. The piece is exquisite and is exceptionally interesting. The needlepoint would date to the late 19th century. The tapestry would have been a top for a games table and would havebeen protected under glass.Thetapestry is in very nicecondition. The frame is also quite nice. It is wood with a beaded detail against the glass section.It is finished in a dark stain.

This lovelywall displaywas custom framed for the previous owner by B A Framer. The paper backing is intact. There is a hanging wire also attached.

Measures42.5\" wide and 41.25\" tall. The glass opening is 36\"x36\". The frame is 1.5\" thick.
