1972 Franklin Mint Sterling Silver Plate by James Wyeth \"Along the Brandywine\"
**Price down $60 on 5/24/17**It is #1 in a series of 5 annual collectors plates and is in great condition. It has the distinction of being the first work in silver created by any member of the Wyeth family.
The plate weighs 6.38 troy ounces (7 ounces) and measures 8\" across.
It features an etching of a man fishing next to a tree which has grown into the river. Characteristic of the Brandywine Tradition is the recurrent theme of the relationship between individual man and the timeless, impersonal majesty of nature.Year - 1972. Serial # 13800. Certified July 14, 1972Includes Certificate Of Authenticity, original letter from The Franklin Mint, and
a \"book\" style velvet lined storage box.

On the back of the plate is a sterling silver medallion which bears the plate\'s serial number. This number also appears on the accompanying Certificate of Authenticity.

The plate comes in a decorated brown cover \"library slipcase\", held shut by a magnetic closure. It is designed for convenient bookshelf storage or shelf display, and is secured for shipping by a chipboard and foam disc, lined in crushed velvet.

This plate has never been displayed.
