FRENCH SCHOOL 18thC - SUPERB PORTRAIT OF A LADY SIGN. PERRIN - PASTEL:
$330.00

From a recent find on a fleamarket at the foot of the citywalls of Carpentras (Vaucluse, South of France), is this subtile late 18th century portrait drawing. The drawing, executed in pastel on laid paper, depicts a magnificent portrait of a young noble lady, dressed in the fashion style of the Louis XVI era.Authorship : the drawing is from the French School, signed right below \"Perrin\". This is the signature of Jean Charles Nicaise Perrin.JEAN CHARLES NICAISE PERRIN (Paris 1754 - Paris 1831) : French painter, draftsman. He was a pupil of Doyen and Durameau. His work shows historical subjects and portraits. He\'s registered participating at the Paris Salon from 1787 till 1822.Size : 40x30cm.Condition : Reasonable. Some scattered dirt throughout. Laid down on a support (framing carboard). The middle part got off the support and created a bubble in the paper. This way, the pastel should be the subject of restoration and taken off the support. Sides : traces of a mat. Top side mid : a small hole. Unframed.Shipping : flat shippingrate 19$. Shipped as International Registered Mail (with trackingn°). Combined shipping available.MESSAGE : On Tuesday evening, the 20th of March, I\'ll be leaving once more for a longer journey (it will be the last longer trip for quite a while). I will be arriving in Paris the same evening and will be visiting two international antiques markets on Wednesday and Thursday. In between I will be returning to Paris for sales and the important \"Salon du Dessin\", which starts on Wednesday afternoon.
After the Thursday market, I will cross France by car. A seven hours trip will take me to the South of France (the Gard region) and I do hope to arrive there early evening. Here, on Saturday, I will be working on two local markets. Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday means the triple of the international antiques markets in the South of France. In between, on Wednesday, there is one of the largest fleamarkets in France, the Easter edition of Barjac.
I will return to Belgium on Friday the 30th of March, trying to catch up with the fleamarket of Ciney in the South of Belgium (this will be a 10 hours trip to arrive for the market at 2PM). Finaly, I hope to be back home that same evening.
All these travels do serve only one purpose, the constant search for drawings.
As I explained before, guygie is a one man\'s project. Therefore, I can still ship on Tuesday morning the 20th of March for all payments made right away after the Monday sales and before. I do have to interupt my shipments than for the period of the markets, but will re-begin shipping right away after my return, on Saturday the 31th of March and Tuesday the 3nd of April (in between is the Easter weekend, which means all shipping offices will be closed).
I do thank all of you for your understanding and continious support !!
