FABRIC: Fabulous vintage medium weight cotton handmade spring summer bedspread for day bed or twin bed.
Not true barkcloth, but in that genre of drapery fabrics with print of large cabbage roses on pale grey ground.
A gathered turquoise or robin\'s egg blue cotton skirt has been added to 3 sides of the spread.
Shown here on an antique twin bed with an average size mattress on it. This spread was handmade and there is testimony to this by the bits of hand stitching that was done
to gather the skirt and attach it to the floral panel.
I have left the stray threads here and there as I love the charm of the hand made effort. Though it fits this twin bed nicely.... I think it was originally made for a day bed which would have been a few inches narrower.
The skirt is nice and long and full so the \"smallness\" is not noticed.
SIZE: The floral center panel measures 35\" x 78 \".....The skirt measures 16\" long. Be sure to scroll the blue arrow to the right of the pics to see all the images CONDITION: Fantastic condition!....I see only a teeny tear in the skirt fabric near the floral panel...see last pic.
