The cup bears the silver marks for St Petersburg prior to 1896, with the crossed anchor and sceptre.To the front of the cup and beneath it is an Imperial Russian Eagle with the St George on the breast. The cup itself has a handle and is most impressive in its appearance. The cup is slightly canted although there are no bumps or bashes. This cup was acquired through a third party from the estate of the Grand Dutchess Olga, sister to the Emperor Nicholas of Russia. She died near Toronto 1961.Measurements 4 7/8 inches high (12 cm ) Width of cup 2 5/16 (6 cm) base 2 5/16 inches (6cm). depth with handle :3 1/2 inches (9cm) Special arrangements will have to be made to ship this item.
