This wonderful 5 1/4\" long bathing beauty is incised on her side Relpaw 581 Germany. Relpaw was an actual export company in Germany circa early 1900s, specializing in fish tank / aquarium decorations and ordered their products to be made in various German porcelain factories such as Carl Scheidig, & Weiss, Kuhnert, and Co, circa early 1900s. Although I believe this is an original vintage piece, I am not sure if this is one of the originals dating from the early 1900s or if it is one of the later versions. It is very high quality and makes a spectacular display piece for jewelry, etc.

She is very shapely and wears a demure white flapper bathing suit outlined in powder blue w white heeled pointed toe slippers. Her arms and legs have fine modeling with legs up and away from body and one arm nestled up next to her face as she leans on her elbow and the other out from body and back to her brow as she suns - notice the detailed hands and fingers! Her hairstyle is a short 20s bob - her face is finely painted.
