Fabulous 19th C Chinese Export Plate w/ Enamel Character Scenes:

This Chinese export soup plate is decorated with colorful enamel character scenes in the center surrounded by flowers and butterflies. The border is decorated with enamel landscape scenes and floral designs. It dates from the early to mid 19th Century or possibly earlier. It measures approximately 1 + 1/2 inches high and 9 + 1/2 inches in overall diameter. It is of high quality and is in excellent condition with the exception of some wear on the gilt and enamel, as can be seen in the photos.
