Fabulous Chinese Export Silver Filigree Carved Nephrite Jade Pin / Brooch

Presented is a fabulous Chinese export silver and nephrite jade pin or brooch. The pin is set with an intricately carved rectangular piece of jade in a lovely light color, featuring a raised knotwork design in the center. The silver frame is done in a very intricate floral filigree design with little bead accents. The filigree work is of very high quality, very skillfully done. The pin has a rollover style clasp in the back.

The pin is stamped and guaranteed silver, with a purity of at least 900.

The pin is in good overall condition. As the seventh photo shows, there is a crack across one corner of the jade, but it is still secure and in no danger of coming out of the setting. The crack is very very hard to see in real life, and would not be easy to spot while the pin is being worn. The pin clasp functions well and closes securely.

The pin measures about 1 7/8 by 1 ½ inches.

The pin weighs 17.5 grams.-jm
