Fabulous Coromondel English Travel Vanity Dressing box with sterling siver lids:
$1095.00
A fine quality Coromandel dressing box. The maker is S. Mordan & Co. London. This is printed on the front lip of the box and can be seen in the photo. The box consists of a stationary rod that releases the bottom drawer with partitions for jewellery and watch. There is a lift out tray revealing a large storage well and a concealed mirror in the lid of the box. There is a tray of vanity/manicure tools that lifts out to reveal a lined well containing 1 further miscellaneous tool. As with all items this age, there are some issues. I have photoed them: there is a crack in the top of the case, there is a chip on the the rectangular cut glass container, and finally there is quite a large corner missing from one of the 2 small cut glass silver tops, see the photo with the red arrows.Included:
2 large round cut glass jars with silver screw tops.
2 large square cut glass jars with glass stoppers and silver screw tops.
1 medium round cut glass jar with silver screw top.
2 small square cut glass jars with silver screw tops.
1 tall round jar with silver screw top.
2 small round jars with silver screw tops.
1 rectangular cut glass container with a silver top.
