Facsimile Dust Jacket for the first 1900 George M. Hill edition
with the unserifed publisher\'s imprint in green

No book is included. ONLY the facsimile dust jacket is offered here! Thank you!

This listing is for the facsimile dust jacket for the book stated. This dust jacket is extremely rare. Most people do not even realize that the first 1900 edition even had a dust jacket. On this one, I had to reconstruct it from a large piece. The jacket was printed in an \"emerald green\" ink on pale green stock paper. No red ink was used, as is seen in the first edition book, making the separation of colours a bit tricky if one compares the covers of the book to the dust jacket. I worked from a piece of a jacket and using scans from three books and then converting all this into a jacket. which can be placed on your rare and valuable book. Happily I am an artist with an eye for detail and got into W. W. Denslow\'s mind and think how and where he would put certain outines in certain places to make this accurate. Here you see my finished result. The spine imprint on this one is also in green unserifed plain type. At any rate this will make your first edition book look a lot better. On these I sign a little acid free label on the which is affixed to the verso of the edge of jacket. My artwork is collected now, mainly in the area of miniatures, but I am known for my attention to detail. Digitally scanned and restored by fine artist John Anthony Miller and has been trimmed, enclosed in a Mylar jacket protector. It has been printed with pigment archival inks on 120GSM paper. With proper care they will last for at least 90 years or more.

At the bottom of the rear jacket flap there is the artist\'s monogram \"JAM\" and the words \"Facsimile Dust Jacket\" tastefully printed, as shown. My later dust jacket work will have \"John Anthony Miller Studio\" on them. Again, tastefully stated. Please see the thumbnail photograph of the dust jacket below, which will not be as sharp as the actual product.

Additionally, this dust jacket has a label affixed to the VERSO of the jacket, stating that it is a facsimile dust jacket and signed by John Anthony Miller. This will make the dust jacket facsimile more collectible in my opinion as some people are collecting my dust jacket work to frame and it will stand on its own merit. If you want your facsimile dust jacket send unfolded for framing, please let me know. Here is a recent comment about my work which I received on March 5, 2014 about a couple of my first edition Baum Oz facsimile dust jackets. One of the the facsimile dust jackets was this one, below which was used with Gregg Hermance\'s kind permission.

\'Just wanted to let you know the Oz jackets arrived today. They are truly stunning. You really create fantastic high quality reproductions--no, they are works of ART.

Thank you so much--now of course you have me hooked. Do you have any other Baum Oz first jackets--I would love to keep adding to my collection!
SincerelyGregg Hermance\'
