Trade edition with red cloth boards with pictorial gilt stamping and lettering on cover and spine, no dustwrapper; 287pp; yellow and white pictorial endpapers; twelve tissue-guarded colour plates plus 59 b/w drawings. [Ref Latimore/Haskell]. Good: Cloth is rubbed and worn to corners and spine ends with marking to covers, scuffing and slight fraying to spine edge; light tanning to tissue guards and pages; tissue guard to frontis has small tear to margin edge; three plates have small tear to lower edge; occasional light marking and spotting to pages; binding a little pulled in a couple of places; rear endpapers a little grubby. 24 of Hans Andersen\'s fairy tales selected and illustrated by Rackham including \'The Little Mermaid\', \'The Snow Queen\' and \'The Snow Man\'.
