This listing is for an Antique Chinese Art Deco Peking Pictorial Oriental Rug in Near Mint Condition. A tree branch emerging from the corner on a greenish field surrounded by a medium navy border. It is as though it was meant to serve as a tapestry rather than a rug.Very well balanced.In Excellent condition with full pile throughout. Both ends have been hand secured .Very pleasant colors.An exceptional of a design.Circa 1920 or earlier.38 inches by 59 inches.The rug is photographed upside down. My apologies for that in advance. Wool pile on cotton warp and weft.Full pile thick and sturdy enough to be used as a rug , and light enough to be used as a tapestry or wall hanging. Fine weave.An enhancement to any setting; Antique or Modern , Eastern or Western.It has been recently soak washed by a textile conservator and is clean enough to touch face with.Its ready to be put in use for the next 100 years.I usually post many more images on my listing than the 12 listed on gallery which only will be visible to individuals on classic site.
