This lovely silver bowl is beautifully heavy at 159 grams and is most likely Hispanic or South American in origin. The circular bowl is slightly shaped and decorated with intermittent panels of criss-crosses. The handles are nicely scrolled and there appears to be a very distorted mark to the underside. There are similar bowls that have sold at big sales for a lot of money attributed to places like Guatemala. It is is 14cm long over the handles and dates at the latest to the 19th century but could be much earlier. It was found with other unusual items including the syringe I also currently have listed.
