This listing is for a Vintage, Fenton Dolphin Handled Jadeite Ruffled Bon Bon Dish or Tray with Ribbed Exterior. Fenton\'s Jade Green is a fantastic light minty green and slightly translucent. The color was introduced in 1924 and discontinued in 1937 with a brief revival in 1980. The Dolphin Handle line was introduced circa 1921 and features intricately detailed dolphin (though I think they look more like Dragon or Lion Fish) handles and smooth flowing lines. The dolphins on this dish are recess painted in orange. The underside of the dish has 8 raised ribs and the base is ground. The piece is unmarked as are all Fenton pieces prior to 1974 indicated they are from the original introduction period.The dish measures 8\" across the handles by 6 1/4\", 1 5/8\" high to the peak of the ruffles and weighs 9.1 oz.The ground rim base has chips from the grinding process as seen in the photos. The balance of the piece is free of chips, cracks and fleabites, including on the intricate design of the handles. There are no marks from use or storage. The base has light shelf wear as expected. It is in wonderful condition and will be welcome addition to any Fenton or Jadeite collection, for display and in the curio.Shipping, Payment and Other Information- Pictures are of the item you will receive.
