Fine 17th century Dutch Old Master of a couple blowing bubbles by a window, oil on panel. Important circa 1660 arched window scene of a young couple blowing bubbles from a pipe with flowers growing up the wall. Remarkable detail in the figures hands faces and interior effects typical of the Leiden Fijnschilders (Dutch Golden Age Fine-Painters). The beautiful treatment of light coming from the outside of the window against the dark interior backdrop is another hallmark of Dou\'s painting who was a student of Rembrandt. Goodoriginal condition for its age.
