Charming vinaigrette with an attractive, undamaged pierced and engraved grille.
Hinges are both in excellent working order.
Both lid and grille have very good positive closure.
In lovely condition.
Gilded interior and grille.
The exterior is beautifully engraved withleaf-like patterns on top, a floral motif on the reverse, both borderedin very fine chasing.
Only some very minor abrasions exist, along with one very small scratch between the thumb-pieces along with one pinhead size indentation near the hinge. These are all detailed in the magnified photographs supplied with the listing and are hardly noticeable when viewed using the naked-eye.
All things considered this vinaigrette is in very fine condition and it remains an exceptional example of silversmith\'s art and craftsmanship of the period.
Clearly hallmarked for Sterling Silver, Birmingham, George IV, 1824, and maker\'s mark of John Lawrence and Company(L&Co.).
