Up for offer is a fine old Rose Mandarin Chinese exportdessert plate with an unusual central vase motif. The piece is about 7 7/8 inches in diameterand about 7/8 inch tall at the rim. Thefront is very nicely hand decorated in the traditional Rose Mandarin palette,with a vase in the center and flowers, leaves and butterflies. The tapered incurving foot rim shows anoff-white slightly rough white paste, with considerable adhering kiln grit. There are no marks.<P>

Condition on the piece is fairly good. There is one 4 mm chip under the rim edge asshown, as well as the normal potting flaws.There is minor wear to the decoration.A fine plate with an unusual
