Fine Antique {1800s} Mother of Pearl Needle Case/Holder.
Description
This is a Fine Quality Antique {1800s} Mother of Pearl Needle Case/Holder.
Both Mother of Pearl covers are engraved with flower sprays. It has the original pink silk ribbon to hold the covers, but this is very worn and fragile {see photo's}. The pieces of ribbon to keep it closed are also missing.
Measures approx. 1¾ inches by 1¼ inches.
It should have a woollen leaf in the middle, to hold the needles, but this is not present. The Mother of Pearl is in very good condition, and it could be easily repaired with re-placement ribbon.
