This one is hexagonal and features 6 intricate nielloed scenes depicting a Grand Mosque on the banks of the river Euphrates,a plethora of traditional boats sailing boats on the river Euphrates, date palms and reed beds; scenes typical of old southern iraq.
Tactile and skilfully hand raised it is beautifully proportioned at 47mm corner to corner and 21mm high.
It is made from a good gauge of high purity solid silver and weighs 15g
