I will be selling a good number of interesting antiques this week including Tribal art, Chinese, Japanese and European antiques. PLEASE NOTE: This sale is in GB Pounds Sterling.

This is a good antique Japanese Kobe toy automaton figure with a nice old collection label from P.J. Hirdaramani to the underside - the other Kobe toy I am selling also carries this label. When you turn the knob the worm pops his head up and the right hand of the figure moves and would hit the worm on the head with the bat but this is now missing. The thread for the head needs tightening as it does not move when you turn the knob. However when you push the head from side to side everything else moves as it should which suggests that it is not broken, just too loose - an easy restoration project for someone in the know.

Condition & DimensionsGood overall condition but the head needs some work - if you turn the knob all the elements work apart from the head but it you move the head with your finger directly then everything else works which suggests it only needs tightening and that it is not broken.

Any delays by the postal services either at my end or abroad are rarely my fault. I always post out at the latest 3 working days after receiving cleared payment but sometimes an item is slowed up by a backlog of post or delayed whilst being processed through customs. To give you an idea it generally takes about 3-7 working days within Europe and 7 - 14 working days to the U.S. / rest of the world. If speed is of the essence then I can use a courier (Parcelforce) but prices for couriers start at around £30 / £40GBP for the very smallest object and VERY quickly escalate depending on size, weight and destination. I add on very little, often not enough to cover the packaging materials, so the price I quote really is as fair as possible.
