ITEM DESCRIPTION
Item Description
Up for your consideration is a very fine pair of large 24\" English Majolica Lidded Urns, c. 1870s. They are in the style of George Jones, with bright vibrant colors, although the maker is unknown. They are of the finest quality, exceedingly large, and in overall excellent condition, with a few flaws.
Measurements
Each urn measures 24\" tall, 19\" wide, and 13\" deep.
Condition Report
Overall, the pieces are in excellent condition. Both have some crazing, particularly toward the tops of the urns, see sixth from last photo. The urn on the left has a restored foot to one putto see fifth to last. There is a small chip to one petal of a flower held by the other putto on the urn, see fourth to last photo. There are two glaze flecks or tiny chips to the inner rim, see third to last photo. There is one small chip to the base, see second to last photo. Finally, there is one inner rim chip to the urn on the right, see last photo. Overall, these are minor issues, and the pieces present exceptionally well.
