Here I have a stunning antique solid silver heart-shaped locket pendant. It\'s made of solid silver, which has been gilded to give it a golden appearance. The gilding has rubbed somewhat on the outside but it is still very present when you open the locket. The front of the locket is encrusted with pavéset with Persian Turquoise, with a white paste stone in the centre. There\'s also a little turquoise set into the bale at the top. The turquoise stones are a deep sea green colour, rather than blue.The back of the heart is monogrammed with some initials. Inside, there\'s space for 2 photos behind the original removable frames and glass covers.As with many antique pieces, it\'s unmarked but tests as solid silver.
The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 1.6cm high and 1.5cm wide. With the bale at the top, it\'s total length is 2.5cm.With the chain, it weighs 3.0grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No lost or damaged stones. The hinge and closure work perfectly and it clicks shut nicely. As mentioned, the gilding has worn on the outside. Overall, it just has the usual surface marks and tarnish to the silver which you\'d expect on an antique item.
