A stunning Victorian 18ct Gold Engraved Wedding Band Ring dating to 1897(please see the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the item\'s description).
This wonderful Antique Wedding Ring, which is approx\' 6.5mm wide & weighs 4.1 grams, is decorated with floral engraved rectangular panels interspersedwith foliate spacers to create a ring that is quite simply sublime.
As you would expect this fine quality ring is stamped with a maker\'s mark \'J.W.B\' for the highly respected maker James William Benson, and a full British Hallmark, as shown, confirming that it is made from solid 18ct Gold and that it was assayed in London in 1897.
Overall this superb antique ring is in great condition with only wear to the surface commensurate with age, as shown. The hallmark is stillcrisp and clear which is indicative of just how little wear this ring has had. Itis sized as a UK Ring Size \'H 1/2\', which equates to a US Ring Size\'4 1/4\'; as with almost all antique rings the band is slightly ovalized i.eit is not perfectly round and it measures slightly differently on the gaugedepending on how it is positioned, however this will not affect the ring whenworn.
