Item Description
Up for your consideration is a fine original early 19th C. oil painting by GEORGE TURNER (BRITISH, 1782-1820) RETURNING FROM THE FIELDS. Oil on board. Signed \"Geo. Turner\" LR Board: 16.5\" x 24.5\". The outer dimensions of the frame are 29\" x 22\".
ConditionTo the perimeter, mostly concentrated to the upper and right sides, there is evidence of rubbing,related to age and minor shifting of the panel. There is alayer whichwhich has been applied to stabilize the painting. . There is also a semi-faint diagonal scratch to the pigment beginning inthe center extending about 1inch (see last photo). There is also various professional restorations to areas around the perimeter.Otherwise, there is light wear to the canvas commensurate with age and use. It presents beautifully.SHIPPING COSTS/TERMS
