Up for sale is a fine pair of early American coin silver sugar tongs, made by Joel Sayre, NY, 1799, with engraved acorn shaped end tips and with magnificently engraved ornament throughout, 6 3/4\" long, 1.5\" wide, 1\" tall, 35 grams, clearly stamped on both lugs with maker\'s intitials \"JS\" for Joel Sayre, in excellent condition with nice original patina.!
