Hallmarks: I have scoured this beautiful change purse for a mark of any kind, but can\'t find one. I\'ve tested it discreetly at 4 points: the kisslock clasp, chain, inside lip and a bottom corner. The result is a silver alloy of not quite sterling, probably coin or continental silver. It may simply be heavily plated, but I am not willing to deface the finish to find out. It does not attract a super magnet.Condition: VERY good pre-owned condition with some signs of wear, commensurate with age and light use. Shape is perfect, repousse design is crisp. Kisslock clasp snaps securely shut with no gaps in closure. Interior is brass and fabric and in remarkable shape with no rips, tears or worn spots. There are some stains that I have not attempted to clean. VERY heavy tarnish--the only reason I am calling this \"Very good\" vs \"Excellent.\" Could use a seriously thorough polish, which I\'ll leave to the new owner.
