Description Abeautiful rare early-dated English antique 18th Century George II solid sterling silver cream jug, in good conditionand with English silver hallmarks for London 1737.Excellent qualitygenuine279year oldantique sterling silver jug, (definitely not a modern re-production), in original state and not later Victorian decorated, (as they often are), with an attractive scrolled silver handle and it rests on 3 splayed silver cabriole legs. Weighs a heavy 95 gramsand is ready to be used.

MeasurementsMeasures approx.3.5 inches (88mm)in height x2.4 inches (59mm) in diameter around the middle.

Date English antique 18th Century Georgian solid sterling silver,witha full set of English silver hallmarks for London 1737(date letter \"b\"). Includes the crowned leopards head stamp of the London assay office and an early lion passant/gardant sterling silver stamp.

Maker Silversmiths initials unclear, possibly \"- R\".

ConditionGoodcondition,and ready to be used. No splits or cracks to the silver, definitely no holes or leaks and nonasty knocks or dents, just has tiny little shallow age-related surface bruises, really nothing much at all. The handle and the 3 silver legs are all tight and secure and it has a nice heavy silver weight. Decorated with a nice small very faint period estate crest.Beautifulquality and with a very early date.
