Stunning large scale full length portrait of the young boys, most likely brothers, with the elder carry books and a bird. Wonderful period attire and exceptional detail in the faces certainly by a member of David Allan\'s circle or by the painter himself. The painting has never been restored and is on its orginal canvas. There is a little dryness, small losses towards the top edge and a graze on the right. All easily restored as they are in undetailed areas. Presented in a antique gilt frame, probably the original that could be fitted better and has a few losses. Very rare example of quality portrait painting of children from the period.Measurements: 40\" x 27\" Framed
