This superb pair of pre revolutionary American silver pepper castors have a nice form with moveable swing handles at their sides. They are decorated with a chased coat of arms and have the makers mark for Thomas Hammersley of New York. They are heavy with a combined weight of 512.2 grams or 16.47 Troy ounces. They date from the 18th Century and measure approximately 6 + ¼ inches tall by 3 + ¾ inches across by 2 inches wide. They are in excellent condition, as can be seen in the photos.
