Fine Signed 19thC Edo Period Japanese Porcelain Vase!

This large beautiful Japanese porcelain vase has a nice form with a four sided body. It is decorated with a colorful enamel painted scene of characters on either of the large sides. On either of the short sides is an enamel painted scene of two birds and a flowering tree. It has under glaze blue designs around the top and bottom and is marked on the base with an under glaze blue mark as well. It has been drilled through the mark, as can be seen in the photo. It dates from the 19th Century and measures approximately 11 + ¾ inches tall by 6 inches across the shoulder by 5 + 3/8 inches wide at the shoulder. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, just the drill hole through the base.
