It is our pleasureto present, for your consideration, this Fine Victorian Rococo Rosewood TurtleMarble Top Table (Circa: 1850). This outstanding Victorian Rococo Turtle MarbleTop Table weighs approximately 55 pounds and measures 29 ½” in height, 31 ¾” inwidth, and 23 ½” in depth. It hasexquisite details, appears to be wearing its original finish, has Rose carved detailingand beautiful carvings around the top of the table beneath the ornamentation,and sits on brass castors for ease of movement!

The original scallopedturtle cut beveled edge white marble top is in overall excellent condition(with a few small nicks to the underside, see photos) and sits upon amagnificent scalloped turtle base. The magnificentscalloped turtle top base is wearing its deep original finish, has elegant rosewood detailing, and is adorned with carved rose and acanthus foliate appliquésall around and has floral cornices above elegant acanthus carved leaves thatdrape down on to all four of the undulating cabriole legs. These gracefulcabriole legs are graced with elegant rosewood and joined together with a fancyc-scroll acanthus foliate stretcher that is completed with an elegant and verysubstantial turned center top finial as well as a lovely distal finial. Finally, brass castors on the feet provideease of movement. This piece exudes veryfine quality and elegance.
