Item : A finely Carved \"Zitan\" rosewood figural of dragons scholars brushCalligraphy penholder box.Here we have for sale is a Chinese carved Zitan wood box in rectangular form with a sliding lid,superbly carved over the top with scrolling dragon chasing the amazing pearl of wisdom. The wood is of a dense grain wood deep dark brown with a hint of purplish tone.
The lid is a slide close tight,embossed with imperial dragon chasing the magical pearl.The box is well constructed and the lid appears to be a secret sliding lid ! bearing no unsightly nails
Material: The box is made of smooth rosewood and is of a dark patina
Condition :The box is in very good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. There may be surface ware as shown in pictures with age to the coloring
