I have now released the Mk III Flockbox, please see my shop
The Flockbox Mk I has now been reduced in price to £25, this is the last price drop to clear my stockAll Flockbox\'s are now mains powered only
You will need to supply your own 9 volt DC adapterWatch how to make a group of self adhesive grass tufts in around a minute!
(Note I am using a temporary larger steel tray simply placed on top of the Flockbox for a larger working area)

These are the same tufts made in the above video

You can also add grass straight onto your model bases

1. Paint the base with PVA glue

2. Hold the model over the flockbox, (shown here a with bigger tray placed on top)

Finished! All the grass is standing upright and looks/feels like velvet

You can also add some pre-made grass tufts over the top

Or add longer grass straight onto your base using the flockbox

Flockbox limitations
(This also applies to all the types of static grass applicators out there, whether used upside down with the Flockbox as shown below or upright using the sieving method)The Flockbox can struggle getting grass in between groups of figures that are larger than 15mm such as the popular 28mm scale.
It can handle single figures but groups are affected. I suggest you use the Flockbox to make grass tufts instead. The charge that attracts the grass flock is trying to seek the quickest way to Earth, with the larger figures it has to travel further past the taller figures to get to the base area.
So most of the grass will stick to the figures with a limited amount being able to travel past the metal or plastic figures. See my picture below.

Other items supplied with the Flockbox:

  • Blue Earth cable as shown in the pictures
  • Sample bag of 1mm green grass 50g
  • Sample bag of 2mm green grass 15g
  • Sample bag of 4mm green grass 15g
  • A sample of silicone paper for making tufts
  • Printed instructions

The larger round \'tips tray\' and square metal plate shown in the above picture and videos is not included and can be obtained from other sellers relatively cheaply
A metal tray of up to A4 in size can be placed on top of the Flockbox and as long as it is not painted or has a high lip it actually improves performance!

Flockbox is NOT recommended for people with heart pacemakers or other internal medical electronic devices as it has not been tested for them.
It is possible to sustain static shocks when holding the blue Earth lead and touching the metal tray, I have had countless static shocks which are more of a surprise than painful.
This is not a toy and must be kept away from childrenShipping to all destinations worldwide will be sent using tracked \'signed for\' delivery

See my shop for \'self-adhesive\' glue and a selection of grasses
