I have links to recommended adapters for a number of countries on my website \'suppliers links\' page: reason the Flockbox uses a 12v DC adapter is because it gives a stronger and more consistent performance over using batteries, you will often find that you do not even need to even use the Earth cable!
The paper used in the video is called silicone paper and is available on or from catering suppliers. Do not use greaseproof paper as that does not release the dried glue.

Flockbox limitations
(This applies to all the types of static grass applicators on the market, whether used upside down as with the Flockbox or upright using the sieving method)Applicators can struggle getting grass in between groups of figures that are larger than 15mm such as the popular 28mm scale.
It can handle single figures but groups are affected. I suggest you use the Flockbox to make grass tufts instead, (which is very easy to do).The charge that attracts the grass flock is trying to seek the quickest way to Earth, with the larger figures it has to travel further past those taller figures to get to the glued base area.
So most of the grass will temporarily stick to the figures with a limited amount being able to travel past the metal or plastic figures onto the glue. See my picture below.

The Flockbox maynot operate properly in an Environment with less than 30% humidity such as avery dry heated room

This applies to all flocking devices, due to the flocknot being able to hold a charge. To resolve this simply open a window to let moremoisture in

Flockbox is NOT recommended for people with heart pacemakers or other internal medical electronic devices as it has not been tested for them.
It is possible to sustain static shocks when holding the blue Earth lead and touching the metal tray, I have had countless static shocks which are more of a surprise than painful.
