Florence Italy Lacquer Faux Wood? Tray with Vtg Japan Paper Mache Fake Fruit:

The tray is marked Hand Made Florence Original\'s by L.P. Italy. The tray looks like a laquered wood of sort, but I am pretty sure it\'s actually a painted resin or plastic type material. I could be terribly wrong. Two of the fruit groupings have a Made in Japan sticker attached. The exterior of the fruit is a painted shell of sort, maybe enamel or something of that type, with a paper or cotton material inside. I guess that technically makes them paper mache, but there is probably a better term to describe them by. I apologize greatly for my ignorance. The fruit looks to be vintage and the tray looks to be contemporary.
