PRODUCT DETAILSNext up on the sale block is thispure gold coin. I actually removed this from a pendant that was from an estate that had a bezel that was at least victorian if not older.
This gold solidus weighs 4.30 grams and has NOT been graded. The coin has been preserved through the centuries in extraordinary condition. It is very unusual to find a 1400 year old gold coin with such great properties. The strike is strong and clear. The centering is nearly perfect. The design details are as crisp and clean as the day it was minted in an ancient workshop. Truly a magnificent example.
