The bail is silver plated and is embedded in the top of the cabochon
This piece comprises dozens of layers of hardened automotive paint.
There was a time when I bought my raw materials straight out of the workers lunch boxes.
Alas, those days are over. Now, I am more likely to find raw material at Estate Sales, or, Flea Markets in the Detroit / Flint areas.
