Hard to find a matching set of four salt cellars, all in excellentantiquecondition. Even theinteriorgilding shows little wear and no pitting.
Each cellar made from a solidgaugeof silver, 3 inches wide and 2 inches tall. Total weight 334 grams (11.7oz)Of circularbalusterform with a floral repousse work. Flared gadrooned rim, eachstanding on foursteppedshell capped feet.
Each punched with the makers mark of GR over EB within a quatrefoil. Lion passant for assayed English silver, city mark of a leopards head for London, and date letter of an old english \"d\" for 1859.1859George John Richards & Edward Charles Brown1857..1866
