Presented here is a charming antique original etching by Lewis Sullivan, titled, \"New England Landing\". The image depicts a coastal scene in New England at low tide. Several people dot the exposed shoreline, and in the background a sailing ship sits on the sand, with other distant ships sailing the open waters beyond. The etching is printed in dark sepia ink, and is both notated \"A.P.\" (Artist\'s Proof) and signed by the artist in pencil below the image. This piece is matted in a camel tan mat and framed in a nice quality contemporary brushed dark bronze color moulding. The board backing this framed etching appears to have been the piece\'s previous old backing, as there are large scuffs in the surface that indicate earlier framing. On the board is written, in red ink, information about the etching. The image measures 8\" x 4 3/4\", with the frame measuring 13 3/8\" x 10 3/8\". The condition of this artwork is excellent; the etching has not been examined out of the frame, but looks to be in perfect condition with a crisp image and clean paper. The frame is likewise in excellent condition, with virtually no apparent wear. The backing\'s condition is as previously mentioned.
