Up for sale is an original, hand crafted model. It is a framed cross stitch picture featuring the friendship verse. It is just lovely!

The verse reads:

To all our todays

and tomorrows

whatever we say or do,

It\'s friendship that

makes the difference,

It\'s friendship that

sees us through

The size is 13 1/2 x 15 1/2. The fabric is stretched and mounted on to plywood backing. It has a glossy gold frame and two tone mat. The frame which is a metallic foil covering is torn near the top and will need to be touched up. The back is professionally finished with craft paper.

On the back there is a label indicating that this was the original photo model which was used to take a photo that was then placed on the kit packages. The item number is 02602 and the title is: Friendship Verse. That is what makes this so unique and rare is that it is the original model and one of a kind that was used to take the photo that went on to the packages. Included in this listing is such a package and to think that this was the model for that picture. How unique is that.

Also included in the listing is a picture of the kit for that item.

The picture was a model to a needpoint kit which would have been on display in a store to show the prospective buyers how the item will look when finished. It was covered in plastic when displayed to protect the picture and still is. I was able to acquire quite a few of the completed embroidery produced by this company. See my other listings.

I learned recently that the name on many of these finished pieces identified the company as JCA Inc. with an address in Massachusettes. They evidently ceased operations and will not be making/distributing anymore needlecraft kits. These finished piece from kits are already hard to find and will only be offered occasionally perhaps on the internet. Per the JCA website:
