Up for sale is avintage hand crafted, mounted and framed needlepoint picture. If any of you are experienced with needlepoint, you will know how long it takes to complete an item like this. It has already been stretched and mounted on to plywood and has a nice wood frame. There might be some scratches to the frame that might need to be touched up.It is a design from the JCA Needle Treasures Collection done with 100% wool Elsa Williams Yarn. It was designed by Ranolph Bye. The kit number is 06586 and the title is: Ceresota Flour. It is just a charming country farm.The size is 15\" x 19\". The back is professionally finished with craft paper. It was stretched and mounted on to plywood backing. The hardware is provided to add to the back for hanging this picture.Based on the label on the front of the plastic thismight have beenthe photo model. That is what makes this so unique in that it was one of the early models and could have been used to take the photo that went on to the kit packages.Included in the listing is a picture of a kit for thisneedlepoint and here is the information that was provided:

Here is some information about the artist: Ranulph Bye, Watercolors

Ranulph Bye(1916-2003) artist , teacher and writer, born in Princeton, New Jersey. had painted over 4,000 watercolors and oils, most of which are in private and public collections, including; the Smithsonian Istitution, Temple University, Moore College of Art, the Reading Museum, the James A. Michener Art Museum and the William Penn Memorial Museum In Harrisburg, Pa. He launched a successful career that has placed him in the top echelon of American artists, winning along the way a stream of awards from distinguished institutions and organizations, including more than thirty prizes from the Salmagundi Cub, New York City, the Gold Medal from the National Arts Club and the Dolphin Medal from the American Watercolor Society, the highest award that organization bestows. In 2001 he was invited to be the first honored artist at the Annual Phillips Mill Juried Art Exhibition., New Hope, PaMr. Bye taught watercolor at Moore College of Art for thirty years years. He has, over the years, captured with exraordinary sensitivity and skill, the rich heritage of Bucks County. His interest in preservation inspired him to write five; books: the Vanishing Depot, a collection of early American Stations; Victorian Sketchbook, 19th century Architecture, in colllaberation with his sister Margare Bye Richie, (out of print) Ranulph Bye\'s Bucks County, today and Yesterday; Painting Buildings in Watercolor, published by North Light (now out of print) and the last book he published is titled, Ranulph Bye\'s Collection of Firehouses. All his books are profusely illustrated in color.
