Presented here is a nifty pair of vintage miniature original etchings, framed together as a pair, by well-listed German artist Ernst Geissendorfer, depicting two views from within the ancient Bavarian city of Rothenburg, and featuring well-known buildings with towers. This pair of etchings, which are printed in a very dark sepia ink on white paper, are both titled \"Rothenburg Tauber\", and signed by the artist in pencil below the images. These diminutive images each measure 1 3/8\" x 1 3/4\". They are mounted together, one beside the other, in a light yellowish-tan mat with a dark brown liner, and framed in a simple modern dark cherry-stained wood moulding measuring 8 5/8\" x 14 3/4\". Although not examined out of the frame, both etchings appear to be in outstanding condition; the etchings are crisp and unfaded, and the paper is very clean. The handsome frame isin very goodcondition, with some small signs of wear to the knife-edge on the moulding.
