Description:It is anauthentic 115 year old Antique Wood blockPrint from Frank Leslie\'sIllustrated History of the Civil War (New York, c. 1890). Frank Lesliewas perhaps best known for his documentation of the Civil War in his Illustrated Weekly Newspaper that chronicled the war. The best of these illustrations were reissued in combined volumes and histories after thewar.Hesentartists to the battle fieldsto sketch the events, which were then brought back to his printing company where they were cleaned up and turned into illustrations, cut onto wood blocks,often requiringseveral blocks for the larger prints as in this case.The print is not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as a single sheetas seen in the first pic. There are smaller illustrations and text on the reverse.Overall, avery nicely preserved print that would frame up well!

Size: The image areameasures approximately9 1/2by14 inches on a11 1/2by 17\"page with a margin all around as seen in the pic.

Condition:It isin Very Good condition for its age with overall tonal aging, basically as seen in the pics.There is aslight bend on the top corner,otherwise itis very clean and would frame up nicely.The pics are of the actual print.
