Gorgeous pin/ pendant by German-born Jewish artist Frank Meisler. Meisler, who currently lives in Israel, is primarily a world-renowned sculptor. Hehas created, however, several pieces of jewelry, particularly pins and pendants, as well as incredibly ornate jewelry boxes that capture the unique charm and spirit of his sculptural work. The splendid piece in this sale depicts the old city of Jerusalem sitting on a hamsa hand. The brooch is made of electroform sterling with gold wash details and has a lapis round cabochon set on the top part. Signature Frank Meisler and hallmark 925 are on the back, shown in pics 5 and 6. A wide C clasp (typical in electroform sterling jewelry) and a bail for a chain allow the double function as pin or pendant. Measurements are 2.5\" x 1.6\". Overall condition is very good with a little nick on the finger in the middle, as shown in the pics.
