$210.49

Written on September 14, 1931, while Governor of New York, this letter signed by Franklin D. Roosevelt, is addressed to his friend Robert M. Barker, of Fayetteville, New York. This letter, in very good condition, is on imprinted Executive Chamber stationery, and covers 3/4 of the page. It reads: \"Mrs. Roosevelt and I are so sorry that we could not have stopped to see you this week. However, as you probably know, our visit to the State Fair was a most hurried one. Almost until the last minute I feared I would not be able to go at all because of the session of the Legislature. I think the idea of the \'Washington Bicentenary\' tree is a grand one. Mrs. Roosevelt joins me in best wishes to you and Mrs. Barker. Very sincerely yours, (signature) Franklin D. Roosevelt
