Franklin Delano Roosevelt Souvenir Tin Tray

A great item for collectors of presidential memorabilia!

This is a vintage souvenirtin tray featuring Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Little White House in its centerLittle White House. The surrounding tray is black with gold trim. I have onlyseen one other like this one, and the only others I have seen of this werecampaign trays for the first FDR election. It measures 6 3/4\" length and 43/4\" width. Along the bottom edge is the inscription, “Roosevelt’s LittleWhite House, Warm Springs, Ga.”

Franklin Delano Roosevelt built the Little WhiteHouse in 1932 while governor of New York, prior to being inaugurated aspresident in 1933. He first came to Warm Springs in 1924 hoping to find a curefor his polio. During FDR’s presidency and the Great Depression, he developedmany New Deal Programs (such as the Rural Electrification Administration) basedupon his experiences in this small town.
