OK, This is where it all started...Up for sale here is a kind of rare, Limited Edition #3701/9500,Franklin Mint 1903 Harley Davidson Diorama. It is a replica of not only the first year motorcycle, 1903 Harley Davidson, but also of the first building that they were built in.It reeks of the history of the company.This is soooo cool. A GREAT piece to add to any collection. The setcomes in 3 pieces. The Harleymodel, the rear bike stand, and the building. The bike model is in excellent condition. The detail on this is amazing. Everything works as it should. The pedals rotate the crank, which turns the chain to the rear wheel sprocket.Tires rotate also. Levers and belts move and turn properly. The whitewall tires are clean. The seat has springs. Exactly like the real one in detail. It is complete, with no parts missing. Enlarge the photos to get a good look up close. Some pictures of the fuel tank look spotty, but thats dust my camera lens. Both the paint and component finishes are very nice. No issues, no dissapointments. Next is the bike stand. The stand goes in the back, and the bikes rear axle rests on it. Paint is excellent. And last, is the out building. I believe it is made out of resin. This too, is a replica of the original \"factory\" that the brothersbuilt their first motorcycles in. On the grass are a pile of logs, and some stones and rocks scattered around. There are 2 light colored lines on the grass area, and that is how it arrived from Franklin Mint. I have seen others with markings similar.This truely is my favorite of all the Franklin Harleys. It is such a cool display, and shows extremely well. This does NOT come with the original packaging or paperwork. I believe i have the hang tag for it.It will be wrapped very carefully in layered bubble wrap, and double boxed as if I was sending it to my Mother.
